Area Three (Division D / District 15)ClubsArea Three is made up of the following clubs: 1. Park City Toastmasters Club / Public club / Park City / www.parkcitytoastmasters.org 2010 - 2011 Area GovernorThe 2009/2010 Area Governor is John Concannon, a member of the Park City Toastmasters Club. You can reach him at jtcon945@gmail.com. John has been a part of the Park City Toastmasters Club for several years and has achieved his Competent Communicator Award. He operates the business Park City Computer Guy and is a volunteer DJ for the radio station KPCW in Park City. Spring 2010 Speech ContestThe Spring 2010 Speech contests are tall tales and international. Each club should conduct their club contests in February. The Area contest will be held at the Shriners Hospital on Saturday, April 3rd. The Division contest will be hosted by Park City on Saturday, April 24th. Fall 2009 Speech ContestThe fall 2009 Speech Contests are humorous and evaluation. Each club should have their contest in August. The area humorous and evaluation contests are set on Sat, Sept. 26. They will be held at the Foothill Anderson Library at 1135 s 2100 East SLC nearFoothill Village. Time is 10 am - 1pm. Andy Cier won the Humorous contest and Jon Henry won the Evaluation contest in the Park City club. Area Spring 2009 ContestThe Area contest was on March 28th at 9am at the Salt Lake City Library. Lorie Gonzales won 1st place and Dennis Hough 2nd in the Table Topics Contest. Scott (last name?) took 1st, Lloyd Alexander 2nd, and Jon Henry 3rd in the International Speech Contest. Ironically, Scott, Lloyd, and Jon faced off each other in the 2008 Tall Tales Contest. There were about 50 people in attendance, which combined with the lively competition made for a very enjoyable meeting.
